One of the nice things about iTunes is you can put the songs you want in a playlist. Sure, it's just 30 second clips, but it's better than no clip at all.

here's the current playlist of songs that I want:

Streetcorner Symphony - Rob Thomas
Every Saturday Night - Ray Charles & the Count Basie Orchestra
It's Not the Crime - Tower Of Power
What Is Hip? - Tower Of Power
Mary Had a Little Lamb - Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
Rhapsody in Blue - Deodato
Kidney in a Cooler - Keller Williams
Vehicle - Ides Of March
Afro Blue - Poncho Sanchez & Eddie Harris
The Horse - Dennis Coffey & the Detroit Guitar Band

Very funky playlist. Got some soul, some jazz, some blues, some latin, and some rock.

I also have two new userpics. Check them out!

1. Comment and I will pick one of your LJ interests and make you an icon.

2. You have no say in what I make.

3. Put this in your journal so I can do the same! (unless youre unable to make them)

In case you want an example, here's a Text Icon that I just made for Amy, based on her intrest "Logic"

Or one I made for Becca, based on her interest, "Forests"

Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Don't send a message, leave a comment on here. Next, re-post this in your LJ and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. Repost as "memories."

So basically, this has been the best weekend of my life, as far as I can remember.  And Sunday's barely begun.

On Friday night, I got to appear on the Channel 4 News at 10 with the Pep Band.  That was really awesome.

Then Saturday was doubly awesome.  First, more Pep Band.  We played at the football game (Which we won).  I got to play trumpet as well as snare, quads, and cymbals.  I'm terrible with cymbals, but the rest was fun!

Second, Krystle called me!

We talked on the phone for an hour and seven minutes.  It would have been longer, but my phone was almost out of battery power.

We talked about things like Star Wars, comedy, big floating rubber ducks, how much we wanted to see each other, and a whole host of other things

I love Krystle so much.

Hallelujah, I just love her so.

so yeah.

I quit the play.

For a couple reasons.

Mainly, I just hated the play.

and this really disappoints me, because I was so looking forward to it.  I actually got in a play at Pius.

It's like I'm not supposed to be on stage at all in high school.  What with my schedule conflicting with Godspell and now this.

Really sorry to everyone who was in it, but I just couldn't bring myself to do something I wouldn't be proud of.

"What a day this has been
What a rare mood I'm in
Why it's almost like being
In love"

Scratch that.

It's exactly like being in love!

Now I know what some of you are thinking, especially Amy. "Dave's in love with someone else? I knew he wasn't serious..."

First off, I'm always serious about this.

And secondly, I think we can all agree this is different than anything else I have experienced before.

Because this girl lives 2,066 miles away. In California.

Want an even bigger shocker? I've never met her in person. Ever. In my life.

You're probably thinking, "How do you know it's not just some pervert who is pretending to be a 15 1/2 year old girl?"
Becca knows her.  She used to live in Wisconsin, and those two are good friends.  Becca introduced us, and I'm pretty sure Becca wouldn't do something wierd like that.

Oh and you want to know another reason why this is different?
She loves me back!!!

I have never fallen in love with someone who wasn't afraid to say she loves me.

This is amazing.

So I just wanted to say something to you Krystle:  I love you.  I love you so much.  It kills me that I'll have to wait so long to see you.  This is going to make my life so complicated, but I love you anyway.  You have made me a happy man.

Hey Everyone!

I just figured out--

****We interrupt this bulletin for an urgent message from Stephen Colbert...

The number one threat to America:

Thank you Stephen.
We now return you to the regularly bulletin, already in progress.****

--...even though we have never even met.

And now for some other news in my life.

I am the Therapist from Midnight Brainwash Revival. I know nothing about this role, but I'm still stoked to be in a play at Pius. It's going to make my schedule hell and make it so difficult to finish homework. But who cares?

I feel good.

Soooooo good.

Insanely happy.

and one of the many reasons is an hour and a half convo i had with Krystle and Becca. I had been talking to both of them for a while, but it wasn't until 7:22 that Becca invited us both to chat.

It was so amazing. So awesomely amazing, I can't even BEGIN to describe it!

We talked about awesome stuff like pickles, typewriters, and cheese... krystle coming to visit, sitting under the stars on a snow drift, having a snowball fight... music, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, Jazz, Gordon Goodwin... flying, etc.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was so awesome. I love those girls so much...
